Teagan Mercer at Encanterra asked me to come by to do some headshots of her and the wedding/events crew. She’s working on getting a blog started, so she wanted some nice shots of the team to be able to use on the blog. Here are a few samples – this is a good looking team!

Yesterday I shot another hot engagement session in Scottsdale. Once again, the fabulous couple looked awesome despite the sweltering heat.

I decided to do Pip’s 10 month pictures while we were escaping the heat in Heber-Overgaard/Pinetop over the 4th of July weekend. It was a nice change of scenery.

Playing with colors a little bit here.

This was right after a dog walked by, we think she was trying to play with him.

I’m not sure which of these last two is my favorite, the what-the-heck-are-you-doing look or the laughing out loud look.

This morning I shot some lovely dishes for Noelle at Fresh from the Kitchen (http://www NULL.freshfromthekitchenllc NULL.com). If you’re in need of a caterer for your event, be sure to check them out! In addition to these beautiful plates, Noelle made me a delicious salad for lunch. I can officially recommend her because her food both looks and tastes amazing.

It was 115 degrees and these two looked like rock stars.

I decided for Pip’s pictures this month I was going to shoot film. I haven’t shot film in several years, so I was a little nervous about getting everything right. That might sound kind of silly, since my photo education background is all film based, but I’ve gotten so used to the instant gratification of digital shooting. In the end I decided that if I was going to shoot film I might as well take it all the way back to the basics, so I busted out my rad little yellow Hasselblad and headed out a dirt road around sunset. It was definitely challenging, since Pip is 9 months old and my Hasselblad is manual focus and does not have a built in light meter. The viewfinder is on the top of the camera too, so I couldn’t look through the viewfinder with one eye and at Pip with the other like I’m used to. I’m pretty happy with the results, I think Pip looks pretty darn good on film. And how many 9 month olds today get to be on film?

She had this tongue thing going on the whole time, but I figured I wouldn’t try to stop her. I make goofy faces when a camera is pointed at me too, so I can’t hold that against her.

Just a few images from last weekend’s engagement session at a private home in Scottsdale and at the Montelucia Resort.

I’ve been editing the images from Saturday’s shoot, and I thought I would post a few of my favorite images shot by my fabulous 2nd shooter Nick. He is very talented, and I’m fortunate to be able to work with him regularly. Before you ask, I’m already all over him about getting his own website going – I’ll make sure to post a link on my blog when it’s live. All of the images in this post were shot by Nick – for a few favorites shot by yours truly, check my earlier post here.
