My brother in law and his wife and darling little boy visited us from Seattle this past weekend. We made a trip to the Phoenix Zoo, it was Pip and Lucas’ first zoo experience and they got to share it.

Katie & Sharad – Engagement
This lovely couple is getting married in March. We did their engagement session at Papago Park where we crashed someone’s party and temporarily took over one of those inflatable bouncy-thingies. That’s a technical term.

Penelope – First Food
Yesterday Pip’s doctor told us we should start her on rice cereal. Everyone told me she wouldn’t like it, that no babies like it. I told them I thought Pip would be different, she loves to eat, and sure enough she loved it! She made a bit of a mess, but that’s expected.
Afterwards she got to go in her Johnny Jump Up for the first time, and loved that too! It was quite the day for her.
- Shelly - it was so good to meet and chat with you last week at the workshop! I love the portrait of the bride with the red sash - stunning! Good luck with everything this year! May your business grow like crazy!
- Hands down the cutest photo shoot with Pip you have ever done!! That is soo cute and she loved the food so much and Im sure she is greatly enjoying her bouncy thing. Oh I miss her.

Rachel & Luke – Portraits
No, this is not Bella and Edward. But they kind of look like Bella and Edward in this first pic, don’t they?
This is Rachel and Luke. They called me before the holidays from their home in Alaska. They were in Tucson for the holidays, and since neither of them have had any “nice” portraits done in a while they wanted to see if I would be willing to do some portraits of them. Of course I said yes, and I told them not to bother coming up to Phoenix because my favorite portrait location in AZ (so far) is in Tucson. They were lots and lots of fun and I loved working with them. Safe travels guys! I’m glad you got to enjoy a couple of weeks of daylight for a change

The 2010 “My Wedding is Sweeter than Your Wedding” Contest
Happy New Year!
We’ve decided to do a contest for all of the awesome brides out there who will be getting married in 2010 or in the spring of 2011. Is your wedding going to rock? Are you doing something that is totally you, perfectly your style? If so, enter the contest for a chance to win a free wedding photography package from Shelly Love Photography!
Rules:
Entries must be received by 11:59pm AZ time on January 31st 2010. Your wedding must take place between 2/14/2010 and 5/31/2011. Your wedding can take place anywhere in the world, applicable travel expenses will be paid by the winner. Open to new customers only. We must have your date open to be eligible to win.
How it works:
Submit your entry by filling out the form here. Tell us about yourself, your wedding plans, and why your wedding is so sweet. We want to know details – tell us what it is about your wedding that will make it rock! Is it your handmade decorations? Your theme wedding? Your red dress? Your venue? To make your entry even more compelling, upload up to 5 supporting photos.
We will review all entries received by the deadline and post the 5 finalists on our blog by Wednesday, February 3rd. The grand prize winner will be drawn on Saturday, February 6th. The grand prize winner will be notified by February 7th, 2010.

- Hi would like to tell you all about my plans for our wedding.... We are having a Native Indian wedding at a beautiful Island park in Cherokee,NC. WE will all be dressed in Indian attire and I will come riding up on a horse to join my new husband.
